Dear Lynn Sweet:
"When O'Reilly is right" will be the day that Hell freezes over. Bill O'Reilly has never been right on anything, and he sure ain't right on this one. What Reverend Wright needs is not a vacation, but an agent to field all the speaking offers that he is about to be flooded with. Wright's appearance on Bill Moyers has made him a national superstar. He is on the verge of becoming the most popular minister in America. Over 36 years, Wright built his Chicago congregation from 80 members to 8,000 members. As a result of his Bill Moyers' appearance, Wright will now have a congregation of millions.
Wright's successor, Reverend Moss, called Wright's 90-second sound-bite TV treatment a "public crucifixion" and predicted that -- after a crucifixion comes a resurrection. Good call, Reverend Moss.
Reverend Wright is about to capture the hearts of the American people in a way that no minister has ever done since the days of Billy Graham and Norman Vincent Peale.
