When Bobby Kennedy and Hillary Clinton first sought a New York Senate seat, they were both dismissed by many people as "Carpet-Baggers", who had no real connection to New York. They both soon became Senators -- and Super-Stars. New York has a fine tradition of sending Super-Stars to the U.S. Senate. Caroline Kennedy would be the latest New York Senator Super-Star. No other candidates even come close, no matter how many public offices they may have held.
