To A Far-Right Wacko

In Communist China during the Cultural Revolution, Mao would have had to send you away for years to several "re-education camps" in order to accomplish the amount of brain-washing that Right-Wing Radio has done on you in the comfort of your own living room.

On the Trail With Barack Obama

I never understood why people in Salem, Mass. burned women as witches 300 years ago. However, watching Michelle Bachman's performance on this Chris Matthews' video makes it all perfectly clear. If there were women like her around in those days, I can easily see why they were burned or drowned. What is even harder to understand is how the people of any district in this country today could elect someone like Ms. Bachmann to represent them in Congress. It's hard to decide which of these two groups of "citizens" is the most ignorant.

Maureen Dowd - NY Times - Oct. 7, '08 - "Mud Pies For 'That One'"

Lee Atwater relished teaching rich, white Republicans to feign a connection to the common man so they could get in office and economically undermine the common man. In the 1988 campaign, the Machiavellian ran to help George Bush Sr. defeat Michael Dukakis with this unholy quintet of charges:

The Democrat was a ’60s-style liberal who would raise taxes and take away guns. He was weak and would not protect the country militarily. He was a member of the elite “Harvard Yard’s boutique.” He had a foreign-sounding name and was not on “the American side.” He was on the side of the Scary Black Man.

Sound familiar?

Vice Presidential Debate

Based on this debate, who would you trust to be president of the United States -- Biden or Palin? By this criterion, Biden was the clear, overwhelming winner. Biden was knowledgeable, informed, human, factual, controlled -- presidential. Palin was a catty sorority cheerleader who didn't even try to answer fundamental questions about the new bankruptcy law and the new bailout legislation. Instead, her main stock in trade seems to be cheap, distorted shots against Barack Obama. After eight years of Dubya Bush, it's hard to believe that America could ever possibly have a worse president. However, if Sarah Palin ever becomes president -- folks, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

E-Mail to Kathleen Parker, Conservative Columnist, Washington Post, 10/1/08

Congratulations to you, Kathleen, for writing and speaking the truth. Far Right "Conservatives" have been trying to silence dissent since they banged on the windows of the Florida election re-counters in 2000, and brought the vote count to a halt. Today, just read the Internet and see how much right-wing hate is out there. They want total conformity and marching in lock-step. They are against everything our nation stands for. They are American Fascists. Look where this type of conformity and submission has gotten us in the last 8 years, Rarely has our country been brought down so low so fast by one administration. Whether you are the Dixie Chicks or Kathleen Parker, speak your mind. That is the American way. Frankly, it is time to run these Un-American, hate-spewing, Right-Wing Neo-Fascists out of the country. They are the ones who don't believe in America. They are the ones who should leave. Good riddance to them.
