Virtually every tax or spending policy will in some way redistribute wealth. Sometimes it will be upward, sometimes downward. But the media only uses the terms class warfare and redistribution of wealth when discussing a downward transfer.
As memorably stated by John Kenneth Galbraith: "The modern Conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness."

Notice you paid my Journal a visit. Don't know if you got past the most recent blog - which you commented on - but if you had you would have see that I am not a Rush Lover. In fact, I find him appalling. However, I am a conservative and am not cheering for President Obama to fail. I want him to succeed but I happen to feel there are parameters to what can be done in a given time frame. He is carrying the burden of Bush's terrible decisions and I readily admit that. I regret that you publish no identity other than your initials. To hold such strong opinions one would think you'd be willing to debate them in the light. Oh, and by the looks of your list of 'Friends With Brains' it is apparent to me that we will seldom agree with one another. That's perfectly okay.
admitting a bill is not right and signing it anyway? is not vote buying illegal? adding pork to these bills is simply vote buying. just a way to get votes to get your bill passed.
