Duped By Conservative Propaganda

Anyone who works 60 to 70 hours a week at a Pizza Hut and supports the Republican Party is a damn fool. Doesn't this woman realize that the Republican Party is working 60 to 70 hours a week to keep her in destitution? These Tea Parties are to make sure that America's Wealthiest continue to not pay their fair share of taxes, so that all the burdens -- paying the costs of government, fighting two wars, working long hours for low wages, losing their homes -- continue to fall on everybody else. Poor lady, indeed. She is a victim both of Conservative Policies and of Conservative Propaganda.

I would tip my hat to anyone working 60-70hrs anywhere. Also I would like to see people who work long hours rewarded for their efforts. But people like you would rather see tax dollars wasted on someone who is sitting on their butt because they think they are to good to work at Pizza Hut. In your opinion what is a fair share of taxes? I think a consistant percentage would be fair, instead of punishing someone for working hard and being successful in the greatest country the world has ever seen. There is a reason why this country is so wealthy and thats because of capitalism.

Dear Brandon:

This country wasn't so wealthy following the Great Depression of 1929 brought to us under Herbert Hoover, or the Great Near-Depression of 2008 which George Bush bequeathed to us, and which Obama and his team are now turning around. Why do Conservatives brag so much about capitalism when they continue to do so much to destroy it?

Did you know that the period following the great depression created more millionaires in this country than any other period in history? Capitalism works. If you work hard and keep good principle, then over time capitalism will reward you. With socialism, which Obama is fighting hard for, the hard working individuals are punished and the poor are rewarded. During the great depression, where did all of this countrys wealth go? The government stepped in and started spending money for the people. They didnt have the money to spend so they printed it and caused massive inflation. That was really good for anyone with a savings account. Sounds alot like what we are doing today. In the years around the great depression we had 10-15% inflation ouch.
What do you think is a fair share of taxes?
