A Great President Confronts the Buzzards
In his First 100 Days, Obama has shown that he has the potential of being one of America's Greatest Presidents of all-time. Sadly, he is up against a Right-Wing Media Attack machine, and some of the stupidest creatures to survive Noah's Flood and the Tower of Babel. Hopefully, Obama will not be stopped by the Limbaugh Dumbos, the Hannity Insanities, the Beck Shrecks, the Savage Savages, the Malkin Malcontents, the Typhoid Annie Coulters, or any of the other Right-Winged Buzzards. Barack will overcome them all. For eight years, these looney-tunes cheered on Dubya Bush as he led our country to the brink of national disaster. Now, they mockingly call Obama "The Messiah". After eight years of their deranged Right-Wing policies implemented by Bush, this country can really use a "Messiah." Let's hope and pray that Obama is truly "The One."

I liked your blog. It seems you are trying to hope that Obama is going to turn things around. I hope so to.
I did notice you refered to biblical things such as Noah and the Messiah. Which leaves me to believe you believe you have some chirstian values which I respect.
But if you believe that Obama is truly the one you might want to read the bible alittle more and look at its values.
Because in my opinion to put hope in someone that is ok with abortions even partial birth abortions, and someone that is ok with same sex marriages, and says he won't let things like morals effect his dicision making while in office. All things that are addressed in the Bible.
Seems to me that a God would not pick someone that goes against everything he stands for to be as you say "the One".
Hopefully I am wrong and Obama turns this nation back to the Glory days it has seen in the past, but I do not think I would hold my breath my friend.
And before you leave a comment branding me as a right wing republican let me tell you I am neither a republican or democrat. I am an American that is tired of political corruption. They are more into pointing fingers at each other then working together to fix the problem.
And I will agree with you that the Bush administration created alot of this. But when I see Obama approve the largest spending budget every in American history for 2010 I think we have just replaced a rotton egg with a gallon of sour milk.
thanks and God Bless You and America
Bill
Dear bill0364:
Thank you for your very thoughtful Comment. It shows me that you are a sensitive, intelligent person.
Yes, I do believe in Judeo-Christian values. However, clearly, there may be disagreements about what some of those values are.
The real reason we have Freedom of Religion enshrined in our Constitution and Bill of Rights is that, during Colonial times, there were so many sharp battles and disagreements among the various Christian sects which had settled here in America about the different meanings and practices of Christianity. There were strong religious and political differences among Baptists, Quakers, Methodists, Episcopalians, Catholics, etc. -- all of them professing to be Christians and believing in the same God.
Those differences continue today, although pertaining to different matters. Jesus, for example, never said anything against Gay Marriage. His was a Gospel of Love, and that Love extended to All God's Children, without exception. Many Christians believe that, if Jesus were alive today, he would favor treating Gays exactly the same as everyone else, including the right to marry.
As for abortion, millions of Christians believe that a woman should have the right to choose whether or not she wants to have a child. She should not be forced by someone else's "morality" to give birth to an unwanted child. She should have the right to terminate an unwanted pregnancy with the assistance of her personal physician. Those are Christian values, too.
The same for stem cell research. There is strong disagreement among Christians as to when human life actually begins. Obama said that question was "above my pay scale". That was the correct answer, since there is so much disagreement among people of good will on when human life begins.
Many Christians favor research on embryonic stem cells, since virtually none of these stem cells would be born and become children anyway, and important medical and scientific knowledge could be gained from this research that would benefit the living.
I'm sure you would agree that Ronald Reagan was a Christian Conservative, yet leading members of his family are very strong proponents of stem cell research. So, Obama and the Reagans agree on stem cell research.
As for Obama's spending, we'll have to wait a little longer to see the results. For the moment, the economy seems to be doing better than it was a few months ago, before Obama began these spending programs. Let us hope that things keep on improving.
CJ,
I do agree with you that we all are Gods children and that he loves us all, but that doesn't mean that we should loose site of the fact that he is still going to send some of us to hell for disobeying his law and not repenting for it.
Where you said Jesus never said anything against Gay Marriages. you need to look at Jude 7. "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
you also can find referneces in the new testament in 2nd Peter 2;6... Revelations 11;8...and Romans 1;24-32. I would say if he condems homosexuals he probably wouldn't be real keen on them getting married.
Jesus said we are all to live in "Gods Word" and that all of us sin and come short of the glory of God.
But we have to repent for our sins..not make excuses or justify them. We have become a country that justfies everything we want to do.
And because someone says they are a Christian but believe abortion is ok doesn't mean they are a true christian or are right. From the moment of conception the embryo starts growing. in order for something to grow it has to be alive, if you abort it you stop it from growing hence you kill it.
Why don't people just say it is what it is but say they are going to do it anyway. and as for partial Birth abortion I do not think you can find any christian religious organization that will say they agree with it.
And the reason the same people fight to keep God out of school and court houses and just about any place else except the church is because when it is present in there sight they feel the guilt of their sins. That is why you don't hear christians complaining about other religions expressing their beliefs because we harbor no guilt to their religion.
I truely enjoy our blogs, because wether we agree or not we are talking about God and putting him for front.... and that is always a good thing
take care
Bill0364
