Republicans Are A Big Tent of Racism
I didn't say that all Republicans are racist. There certainly are a few exceptions. I said the Republican Party is a Big Tent -- big enough to hold all racists. When American racists are looking for a political home today, the Republican Party is there to embrace them. Welcome Home, they say. Comfortablize yourselves.

Actually I believe that the democratic party is the biggest tent for racisted that has ever existed.
Democrats just want every hispanic, African American or native American to have everything they want. If your a caucasian male, your screwed!
Why do democrats feel that these people cant succeed on their own?
Why do African Americans have a higher unemployment rate caucasians?
They have alot more opportunities than caucasians, but still they work less. Why do you suppose that is? Or am I just being a racist?
Democrats are the ones with the history of Racism. We have been through this before.

There was a Sea Change in the 1960's and 70's -- under Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon. Since then, the shoe has been on the other foot.
Lyndon Johnson pushed for strong civil rights legislation and, once that legislation was passed, Nixon and Lee Atwater adopted a Southern Strategy. As a result, all the racists switched parties. They changed from D to R.
Nixon and Atwater told white racists and bigots that they were welcome in the Republican Party, and they've all found a comfortable home there ever since.
Only because of the republicans did we pass the civil rights act of 1964, proving again that you demos are racist once again. Thanks for bringing that up. You now support modern day slavery as well. Its called welfare. Keep them on welfare as long as you can, to keep their votes in your pocket. Anything for votes right? As long as you can keep minority on welfare you know you have their votes. You have no incentive to see minorities succeed do you? You are a racist. Shame on you.....
CJP: What is your solution to welfare? Democrats just want to throw more money at them. Do you really think giving the people on welfare more money will help them be successful?

It’s funny as hell when Democrats call Republicans racist. It’s exactly the opposite. When Obama was running, tons of Democrats said that we were all racists for not voting for him, but yet he was the one pulling the race card every chance he got. Congratulations on the first black president. Not a big deal. But next time you want to vote for the next leader of the free world, take color out of the equation. I don’t care if he’s orange, green, black, white, whatever, as long as he does what he says. And Obama is being consistent. He is doing EXACTLY the opposite of what he says. So hats off to him. I guess.
Anyway, you want to see racist, look up the stand the Obama administration took on those white fireman who were not promoted because there wasn’t any black men or women who qualified on the testing for the promotion. So none of the firefighters got promoted, and the Obama administration agreed with the decision not to promote the firefighters because there wasn’t any black ones. That was the first racial stand this current administration took, and to me that was pretty racist.

When a test is given for on-the-job promotion, and no blacks do well on that test, the test itself becomes suspicious. It brings back memories of the poll tax and other tests that were used to deprive blacks of their voting rights in the Old South. I'm not saying that the Connecticut test for promoting firemen was deliberately set up to be racist and unfairly slanted against blacks. In fact, I'm positive Connecticut had no such intention at all. However, even local government officials agree that the test itself should be re-examined to see if it was unfair. The Obama administration is siding with the local government's own decision to take another look at that test.
Anonymous -- Democratic racism is ancient history. In the Civil War, the Democrats were the party of secession and the Confederacy. In the 1930's, Democrats were still the party of the Solid South and they did perpetuate Jim Crow laws in the South. FDR fought World War II with a racially segregated military and he did nothing to confront the racism of Southern Democrats. All that changed with Harry Truman. Truman de-segregated the military and fought for strong Civil Rights laws throughout his presidency. However, he could not overcome the Dixiecrats and their filibusters of his proposed legislation. Truman's civil rights bills caused many Southern Democrats to bolt the party in 1948 and form their own Dixiecrat Party supporting Strom Thurmond for the presidency. Somehow, despite a splintered party, Truman was re-elected in 1948 and continued his battle for civil rights legislation. Strom Thurmond, the segregationist who had been the Dixiecrat cnadidate for president, later left the Democrats and joined the Republican Party. By that time, Thurmond had joined a huge migration of racists moving from the Democrats to the Republican Party which had become, and remains, their new home. They even have Klan spokesman Rush Limbaugh operating the Welcome Wagon.
How is Rush Limbaugh racists or are you just name calling?

Tell that to Black Americans that Slavery is "Ancient History". Can you be anymore offensive and Racist with that statement alone?
Who cares if what the color, sex, race, age, sexual orientationtation or religion is of someone who is taking a test for a certain job that demands certain talents or skills. I want it to be discriminating. It should discriminate against those who who do not have the capability to perform the duties it requires. This protect that individual as well as public. I do not want a less qualified pilot to be flying because he is a minority or a firefighter who is unable to lift 50lbs above his head just to fill a quota. Let us recognize the wonderful talents and skills each of us have and recognize we are all indivuals with our strengths and weaknesses.
