Goldman Sachs may be the first bank allowed to repay its $10 billion government loan next week, and JP Morgan Chase looks to be next. As the financial crisis has abated, some banks, most notably Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley have said they can now repay the money and get out from under federal control.
So much for the Conservatives' bleating cries: "How are we, and our children, and our children's children, ever going to repay all this taxpayer bailout money?"

First off that is only a fraction of the money and second the banks have been trying to pay the money back shortly after recieving it. The federal government would allow them to repay it.
PROLIFE IS NOW THE NEW MAJORITY!
It would appear that the baby killing democrats are losing more support. A new polling last month shows that 51% of Americans consider themselves prolife, while only 42% consider themselves prochoice.
Yet another strike for the democrats!

How is the federal government in control of our banks a good thing? That is what got us into this mess in the first place.
The poll shows that 51% of Americans may be personally pro-life, but 70% of Americans believe that the decision should be left to the woman and the people close to her, and that her decision should not be determined by legislatures.
The federal government is not in control of banks. However, the government does regulate banks. What got us into this mess was inadequate government regulation, allowing banks to make many irresponsible decisions. Government regulation makes our financial industries stronger and safer, not weaker.
Wrong! What got us into this mess was government regulation. Forcing the banks to make sub prime loans was a very bad decision.(Barney Frank) Also the higher interest rates on those loans werent sufficiant to create profit when the forclosure rates increaced.
Isnt regulating the same as controling? Doesnt a CEO regulate his buisness?
