Was President Obama Really Born in Kenya?

If the best we can do -- by insisting that our presidents be born on United States soil -- is two terms of Bush and Cheney, then the time is past due for a new Constitutional Amendment allowing our presidents to have been born overseas.

We could call it the Schwarzenegger Amendment.

What about Franklin D. Roosevelt or John F. Kennedy? Two presidents whom many people believe did great things for this country, and are worshiped by liberals and democrats. They were born in the United States. Or how about Ronald Reagan, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln? They are remembered as great presidents and leaders of America.

Do not use George W. Bush as your only argument for usurping the Constitution and the requirement that the president must be born within the United States. It is a pathetic argument and a cheap shot at Bush. The Founding Fathers knew what they were doing when writing the Constitution. More so than we give them credit for.

Americans should be lead by Americans. If we allow people born outside the U.S. to be president, we will make it very easy for our enemies to destroy us from within, by planting someone in this country to become embedded in American politics with the goal of becoming president.

It is high time we abide by the U.S. Constitution rather than destroy it.

Nice liberal-weenie way to deflect the argument, by throwing out a tangential, unrelated question in response to Janet's valid points.

The fact that there were plenty of great Presidents on both sides of the left-right scale who were born in the U.S. simply disproves your argument that Bush/Cheney were the "best we could do" by (gasp!) abiding the Constitution (what a concept!), and that the "U.S. soil" rule in the Constitution needs to be thrown out so that we can have foreign usurpers-in-chief such as Obama -- who, by the way, could clear this whole thing up very quickly by simply producing a valid birth certificate from Hawaii. But he hasn't, and so the issue remains, and it becomes all the more obvious that he has something to hide. I am convinced that he was born in Kenya -- there are plenty of close accounts that testify to this, many more so than ANY accounts of him being born in Hawaii -- and is therefore ineligible for the Presidency.

Finally, whether you want to amend the Constitution now to allow foreign-born people to hold the highest position in the land, is utterly irrelevant as it pertains to Obama. You can't change the rules under which Obama was elected retroactively. He was elected when the rules were (and still are) that he must have been born in the U.S. in order to qualify. That cannot be changed for him, even if you want it changed for future candidates.

Anonymous, I'm glad that you started off your comment by referring to "liberal-weenies". Conservatives have been holding their weenies for months now, masturbating over Obama's birth certificate ever since Barack got elected.

There is plenty of proof that Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961, including an official birth certificate in the Honolulu Department of Health, announcements in the local Hawaii newspapers at the time of his birth, and decisions by every court approached on this matter that challenges to Obama's place of birth have no validity in fact or law.

Even so, Anonymous, you are "convinced that he was born in Kenya." Well, Anonymous, that's why Republican "flat-Earth", anti-science, anti-fact conspiracy theorists are now out of office and will remain so for years to come.

The Republicans have turned into one huge, but shrinking, Idiot Box -- idiots talking to idiots, listening to other idiots on the radio to find out where the next "tea party" is. The American people have seen what a mess the Republicans made of the economy and of our foreign policy over the past eight years. I doubt if they will let Conservatives get anywhere near the levers of political power again.

Meanwhile, you Right-Wingers can just continue holding your weenies and enjoy masturbating over Obama's birth certificate.

CJP sounds like you have some real bad issues. So Obama is doing a good job huh? Why then is he and the rest of the democrats wanting to charge taxes on our healthcare? I thought he was wanting to have a government mandated healthcare and now he is going to charge taxes on our own? Yeah that sounds like he is doing a great job. Listen there are problems with both sides but do not make it out that the republicans are the cause of all of our issues. Its everyones fault. No one stands for anything anymore they all are money/power greedy people who do what, whoever puts the most money in their pockets, tells them to do. The thing that gets me about his birth certificate is that he only shows a "LIVE BIRTH" certificate that does not show the signatures of the doctors or the witnesses. A live birth certificate only shows where he wants it to show. I could go to Hawaii at my age and get a live birth certificate stating the year and state of where I would want to have been born. That is odd that he will NOT produce a document that has Doctors and witness signatures on it from Hawaii.....
