Obama Is Restoring America's Image Around the World

In today's Washington Post, David Ignatius writes the following:

"Obama's first priority was boosting America's standing in a world angered by the Bush administration's arrogance and unilateralism. Obama rightly saw this as a major national security threat, and he used his charisma to change that image in a hurry.

And to a large extent, Obama has succeeded. "We have taken off the table reflexive anti-Americanism as a reason not to deal with us," says Rahm Emanuel, the White House chief of staff.

Obama's success in defusing anti-Americanism wins plaudits from Brent Scowcroft, who served as national security adviser for Republicans Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush. "Obama had to tackle the mood first, and I think he has done a brilliant job," he says. "The change around the world is dramatic." "

So much for that huge pile of Conservative tripe about "Obama's Apology Tour". It's high time for America to stop following Conservatives down so many mindless rat-holes.

Meanwhile N. Korea is doing what ever they want! Take a lesson from history. The U.S was in peace talks with Japan right before the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Some people cant be negotiated with, you just have to slap them around.
While we are talking, N. Korea is building bombs and missles. Do you believe Obama is going to go to N. Korea and ask they to stop?

If you saw today's news, there is now a famine in North Korea, which is slowing down any nuclear activity that country might be doing. It's called "Facts on the Ground" -- something Obama pays close attention to, and which Conservatives never have any awareness of.

Why would that slow their nuclear efforts? You must think that the N. Korean government gives a shit about their people. Sorry to inform you that not every country is like the U.S.

North Korea has its hands full with domestic problems at the moment, which is slowing down its nuclear program.

Why would domestic problems slow their nuclear program? Did Kim Jong-il walk into their research lab and say "sorry, but today we are having domestic problems. Everyone can take the day off."

The two are not linked and funding will continue. Meanwhile what are we doing about it?

Are you fucking kidding me?

Leaders around the world are giving the Obama the kiss-off and pretty much telling him to go take a hike. He's getting insulted by our enemies that he wanted to be pals with, and he's pissing off our allies.
