Obama Showed Leadership in the Gates-Crowley Confrontation
Most Americans are glad that Obama spoke out on this subject, did not dodge the question, acted like a president and a leader, and has now caused Americans to re-think this entire issue. A local confrontation has become a national learning experience, thanks to Obama. That's why Obama is a great president, and he's barely begun. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

Uh huh. The type of leadership that was universally panned by every pundit. Even Juan Williams and Wolf Blitzer criticized his performance.
No, it was not "universally panned by every pundit". Are you talking about the "Pundunces" of Fox News?
Obama has gotten lots of support for his comments from plenty of "pundits", and their numbers are rising.
Yes, it WAS panned. I don't even watch Fox News. I mostly read.
What the heck were you watching/reading? Certainly not anything connected to reality. The guy was panned far and wide.
The Gates-Crowley thing was not the topic of main importance anyway. A poorly-played side show for Obama, to be sure, but the main issue is the proposed national health care plan that made up the bulk of his speech.
The eye needs to kept on that ball.
