The Source of The Phony Birth Certiificate Teapot Tempest
As he has in several other instances, Lou Dobbs, in taking up the birthers' claims, is adopting an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory that originated on the radical racist right. As Gawker.com has reported, this particular conspiracy theory was first developed by an open anti-Semite and circulated by right-wing extremists who cannot accept the fact that a black man has been elected president of the United States. Among its adherents was neo-Nazi James von Brunn, the alleged murderer of a security guard at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., this June. Von Brunn had helped spread the birthers' claims on the Internet and attacked the "dishonest & conspiratorial Media" for not taking them up.

Ah yes, there you go, trying once again to paint the people calling for proof that Obama is a natural-born citizen as extremists, racists, or Neo-Nazis.
Listen up, fool: This is absolutely not a racial issue, nor is it even a partisan issue. I don't give a rat's ass whether you're Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian, Green Party, black, white, red, yellow, brown, purple, orange, whatever. Your race or political leaning means nothing in this issue. Bottom line is that if you want to be President of the USA, you had damn well better be able to prove that you are a natural-born citizen.
Obama has not provided this proof. Simple as that, and irrefutable. He has not produced a valid Hawaiian long-form birth certificate. He has spent over a million dollars on lawyers to avoid having to produce it.
It is interesting but not surprising how you lefties react with such shrillness and venom to this issue. It is because, deep down, you fear that we may be correct that Obama is not natural-born. So you resort to the usual tactics of trying to label us, marginalize us as loonies or worse, in an effort to stifle us.
If you people were really 100% certain that Obama is legit, then there would be nothing to fear from a simple request for a birth certificate to show that he is natural born citizen. In fact, I would think that you'd be calling for Obama to show it, to shut us up. Obama shows the birth certificate, he and the lefties are vindicated, we look like petty "tempest in a teapot" inciters, it's a total win-win for your side. But noooo...instead, you resort to shallow name-calling.
Despite your efforts, however, this issue is growing rather than going away.
Oh, and one more thing? If it were a black Republican that were under the gun for not being natural-born legitimate, there is absolutely no doubt that you'd be singing a much different tune right now.
I'd still be singing the same tune either way: show me the birth certificate.
