Don't Blame Bush -- Blame What Conservatives Are Doing Today
The Conservatives' ass will be grass in 2010, as most Americans see that Obama has saved America and that Right-Wing Extremist Douche-Bags did everything possible to block our nation's recovery. Conservatives will be blamed not only for bringing America to the brink of destruction with their Right-Wing Extremist policies under Bush but, even more so, for their total obstructionism today -- constantly throwing roadblocks into America's path to recovery. More dreadful than what those Right-Wing morons did under Bush, what those ignoramuses are doing today is even worse. However, Conservatives are a lost cause. They are history. We're no longer blaming Bush. From now on, we're putting the blame squarely where it belongs -- on what the Right-Wing Obstructionists are doing today to block America's recovery. When America does recover -- long before the 2010 elections -- Obama will get the full credit, and "Conservatives" will get their full and just desserts.

Sorry, fellas, Obama's approval rating may have "slipped" to 48%. However, the Republicans' approval rating is about 22%. Not much of a match-up, as they enter the ring for 2010.
You're right, Anonymous. Not "All Americans" see the light -- consider yourself Exhibiit A on that point. However, an overwhelming majority do see the light -- nationwide --- except in the South.
Perhaps the time has come for the Republican Party to change its name to the Confederate Party.
Even with Obamas approval rating hanging out around 50% you will notice that he has even less support from the people about his policies. Maybe the African-American community will wake up and drop the pride they have in Obama simply because he is black. A 98% approval rating among black is insane!
Obama is also still doing very well with whites --- and even with purples.

The kooky cons just don't learn. Are they incapable of learning? It certainly seems so. Case in point;

I really think the cons have a problem with reality. Forget the invisible guy in the sky (but that should be a big hint at the reality problem), they just keep hearing these little voices ranting about freedom (which we have shown they don't believe in), trickle down voodoo economics (which worked with Raygun, but times have changed and it didn't work with W), and trust in the benevolent ways of big business.
Palin is their leader. That's the only hypocritical leader they have left, as all the others are finished because of affairs. Pray with me fellow realists, to the God of common sense, for all the good it will do, as the crazy cons are awfully far gone. amen.
What has changed in the economy that doesnt allow trickle down to work? Conservative believe in buisness, not just big buisness. Small buisnesses run this country, yet you want to tax them into submission. Why?

Brandon Buddy, I have a small business, for something like 8 years, and I have never paid federal business tax. All my clients are small business's, except one .org (which pretty sure does not pay any taxes either) and they pay 0 taxes also. Are you listening to Joe the Plumber again? Oh, did you hear he isn't really a licensed (that pesky paper work again) plumber, and he was nowhere near buying a business that would give him an income of 250k per year, like he told Obama. He is just another example of con mantra, and which just because it's been stated, you think it's the truth.

Your kind of missing the point of my comment. It isnt just federal buisness taxes you pay. You most likely have state income and capital gains taxes. When you pay taxes with your buisness dont you pass that cost on to your customers?
If you own a small store in a poor community, then are the poor not getting taxed?

I pay such minimal state business tax that neither my wife or I even know what it is. I could look it up, but to lazy. It's something, but under 1 percent. We do pay sales tax, close to 9 percent, and on a 4k computer that adds up.
I pay 0 capital gain taxes. I do frequent disbursements of profits and get out of paying all kinds of taxes, as the rule was intended.

What state do you live in? I know my company had to pay over 40k in taxes last year. We are a very small company with about seven employees here in washington state.
I live in WA state also. I probably paid 3k in sales taxes but that's it except another 1 percent or so for ???. Whatever I pay, I barely notice it except for sales tax which I cuss. And I can get out of sales tax by ordering online out of state, unless you own a business in state.
My accountant and wife take care of all the tax stuff. Pretty sure I am doing all the state requires, as my accountant 8+ years ago, upon incorporation, said it's not if you're going to be audited by the state, but when. I have never been audited by anyone, knock on wood (I admit that's my one superstition, if I don't say KOW, I get in trouble.)
Brandon, I don't have to charge or pay sales tax on my product (software design), because the state categorizes it differently. I bet that's the difference.

What do you think happends with 95% of the taxes collected? They are passed along to your everyday consumers! If your cost increase do you leave your price the same to your customers. If you were in manufacturing you would understand this concept better.

If you are complaining about are economy, then why would you support an idea like this one? Increasing minimum wage and increasing taxes will only drive up the cost of manufacturing, while other countries are under bidding American companies. All that is bad news for America!

No, its really simple: Costs and Profit! Taxes, higher wages and benifits all go under the costs catagory. The money you earn minus the costs equals profit. When you tip the scale so you have a ton of cost you cant compete with someone who doesnt have those costs.

I am young, I have gone to college and I know what I want to do with my life. I want to serve my community as a police officer.
For now I am a machinist, which is a job for now. I make really good money considering the community I live in. The reason I make good money is because I work very hard and do what I can to learn everything about machining. My employer rewards my effort by giving my raises. I also supervise alot of losers who dont work hard and complain when they dont make enough to pay their bills.
