Recently, one of my new Conservative Internet friends send me a comment stating:
"I don't like Obama because of his color -- not because he is black -- but because he is Red. Obama is a Red Commie."
Well, my dear Conservative friend, "Red Commies" don't spend billions of taxpayer dollars to try and save the nation's private banking and investment companies, or to rescue America's private auto industry, or to save family-owned farms. "Red Commies" try to place the ownership of the means of production into the hands of the public and eliminate private ownership. "Red Commies" don't spend billions of dollars to save the capitalist system.
Government regulation is a part of capitalism which helps make the system work more fairly and effectively and prevent it from periodically collapsing. It is the opposite of public ownership. It is an effort to preserve capitalism, not to create communism.
My dear Conservative friend, you're rather color-blind. I realize that most Conservatives wear blinders. But you should get your color coordination straightened out.
