"You can fool all of the people some of the time, and you can fool some of the people all of the time." Abe Lincoln was the first great leader of the Republican Party, and these are two of his immortal principles that today's Republican leaders remember and are constantly operating under. They are persistently trying to fool as many Americans as possible for as much time as they can.
When Bill Clinton was elected president, Conservatives tried to sabotage his administration by accusing him of trying to allow Gays to serve openly in the military. If some Americans cannot be excluded from the full benefits of citizenship, then, to Conservatives, that does not represent "The Real America".
Likewise, today, Conservatives are trying to sabotage the Obama administration by accusing President Obama of trying to extend health care benefits to all Americans. If some Americans are not excluded from the benefits of health coverage, then, to Conservatives, that does not represent "The Real America".
Conservatives are highly exclusionary individuals who treat this country as a private club. They are an "Old Boys'Network", full of rednecks, greed merchants and suckers. Conservatives are comprised of those who are trying to fool all of the people all of the time -- and of the fools who keep allowing themselves to get fooled.

Why to you try to twist the truth? Conservatives want all Americans to have the opportunity to purchase health insurance for themselves. There is room for improvement but the public option is not the answer.
Why do liberals what to fix a problem with everyone elses money? Stop, think and lets all try to think of a better way to make things more affordable for everyone.
How many people dont have health insurance, that cant afford it?
How many choose not to purchase it?
Obama keeps mentioning the uninsured but never talk about those who dont want insurance.
And Texas is the crazy cons mother ship.
"When science rears its little head we have the bludgeons to whack it back into a hidey-hole, and when politics moves away from progressive, free-thinking, historical analysis, we teach the Rovian Revisionism of great events and personalities."

Hey you kooky cons, does revisionism sound appropriate when you say that the US poor buying houses caused the world financial markets near complete collapse?
You're not fooling us again. You can keep repeating the lies, but the only ones listening is a small group of intolerant religious zealots. Do you hear the mother ship beckoning?
Another con fabrication: The post office sucks. GD I love the US Post Office. I filled out forms online, printed labels, and they picked up my 3 packages at my door step the next day. And all 2-3 day delivery for a very good price.
Oh and time for drivers license renewal. For that dreaded operation, I can go to the DMV building, or fill out a form online, or mail in a request for a renewed license. I choose to mail in, as they ask for SS online.
The shear magnitude of inefficiency in the above 2 government operations is incredible.
And then you compare the US military, to the private contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan, and it sure does look like the contractors have better parties. Baaaa haaaa, haaaaa. Get a grip silly cons. You've been repeating fallacies to your little brains for so long, you actually believe them. Your con hood sounds more like a religion to me. Depend on your faith and ignore any evidence that contradicts what you believe. Amen cons.
Amen, Reaper. Very well said. Keep on saying it until it penetrates all those Neanderthal Conservative skulls.

Trying to twist it again? It was people who couldnt afford to buy homes, not just the poor. There is a difference.

I tried to ship a package the other day, checked the price at the post office, it was about $100. Then I checked with UPS and it was only $35. Government charges 3x the amount and still cant create profit?

You just love hearing mis-statements from your beloved liberals!

BB, I know you cons only recently started using the tube thing (the one Gore invented), but I've been using the internet for about 10 years. I have been ordering items over the tubes all those years. About 1 in 15 items I have to send back for various reasons. I see the shipping prices both ways. The USPS is always cheaper, except for large items. Who knows, maybe it's changing again, that is maybe the USPS is raising prices due to con pressure. Things change BB, we progress. What once was true, may no longer be. And business pressures, being what they are (UPS, and FedEx bitching about USPS low rates) may of altered the field. All I know is USPS now has tracking, online package prep, all you can ship (up to 70 pounds, and certain size box) for one low price, and package door step pick up. The others don't offer the latter 3, except at exorbitant prices. And BB, I was not a proponent of the post office until recently. The latter 3 items are relatively new. I now really like the post office, but if their prices do go up, which I have yet to really notice, then I might change. But front step pickup for free, is pretty nice, and since Redmond is my closest UPS, I don't think I'll be changing soon.

You hit the nail on the head, it was a larger box.
Is it true that the post office doesnt make a profit?
In my optinion UPS is far better, the price is usually pretty close. UPS will deliver to my door, the post office doesnt even drive down my drive way. UPS will stop three times at my house before leaving my a notice that I have to come and pick it up from them, the post office just leaves a notice in the mail box and then I cant pick it up until the next day. UPS also has online tracking and I have never paid extra for it.
Why do you asume that USPS is raising their prices due to conservative pressure? Do the liberals not aprove of the post office making money and competing with Fed Ex or UPS?
