An Example of Conservative "Thinking"

Here is a comment from a Conservative -- a perfect example of Conservative "thinking" -- showing why Conservatives are so hopeless:

"You didn't mention all the stupid things your tax dollars go to. Examples: Social Security, medicare, medicaid, cell phone for the poor, housing for the poor, food for the poor, cash for the poor, and the ever increasing state payroll."

Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Ayn Rand, Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck -- you sure know your audience. You birds of a feather certainly flock together.

No wonder Conservatives are becoming known as the primary Enemy of the People.

How about we give the kooky cons Texas to set up their own little theocratic nation and do whatever they want? And they can elect Chuck the Norris as their president.

But no coming back.

conservatives are FOR the people, unlike liberals who are for people relying on the government for the rest of their lives. obama is the one folks are questioning right now. do your homework before you make such wild claims.

Perhaps you could elaborate on why those examples are GOOD investment of tax dollars. I stand by my claim that, currently, ALL of those are a waste of tax dollars.

I pay about $310.00 per month for SS and medicare. It is my understanding that my employer matches that dollar for dollar. So that would be a total of $620.00 per month taken from my pay check.

If I were to invest that much from the age 18 to the age 65 I would have about $1.4 million, if I averaged 8% return.

I am currently investing about $250.00 per month. When I add the $620.00/per month + $250.00/per month = $870.00 per month!

If I were to invest $870.00 per month with an 8% return from age 18-65 I would have $1.97 million.

That is why SS and Medicare are scams! Would $2 million pay 99.99% of Americans health care bills?
