Is ACORN a "Bad Group"?
The only reason ACORN is a "bad group" is because it registers so many poor and minority people to vote and offers them housing assistance. That makes ACORN a "bad group" for Republicans and Conservatives -- who are hell-bent on trying to destroy or discredit ACORN -- but an excellent group for the rest of the country.

It would be nice to see where every dollar of the tax payer funds went in ACORN. Who gets what wage and bonuses. As well as meetings when where and how much. A through scrutiny of the account records should be all we need. If they really do help like the author says then the evidence will bare that out. Of course if the evidence shows that the aid is being politically used to buy votes then all federal funds should stop. The Constitution won't allow this use of Government power. They can still get money from other sources just not the Federal or State government.

So you just choose to ignore the charges of voter fraud and promoting illegal activities?
When are you going to stop with this B.S.? If the democrats were the ones investigating ACORN and ACORN was supporting republicans, you would be all over them!

It would be nice to see where every dollar of the tax payer fund went in to Wall Street and how it was/is spent.
Those fat cats CEO's (Conservative supported) so far haven't divulged any info and still are getting outrageous bonuses.
We should be after them and put regulations in place so that the collapse of the economy will never occur again.
ACORN is small stuff compared to the above.

As the saying goes, "You can indict a ham sandwich". But even a ham sandwich is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Until ACORN is convicted of something -- which hasn't happened, despite the Republicans' best efforts -- all the rest of this nonsense is a Right-Wing smokescreen and a bunch of BS.

A charge and a conviction are two different things. I think the videos show that they are promoting illegal activities. So are you going to retrack you statement that the ACORN employees who got fired were victims?

Of course, they were victims. They were victims of a Right-Wing scam. They were conned.
They were talking water cooler talk. These naive employees were acting like they were having a street conversation in the "hood".
They didn't do anything official on behalf of ACORN. They filled out no forms and provided no material assistance to these two "actors".
What do these videos prove?
ACORN is not in the business of giving tax advice to pimps or prostitutes. These two "actors" walked in off the street, and a couple of naive young employees tried to have a conversation with them
on their own terms.
Of course, ACORN could not go along with it because this is not the sort of conversation that should be taking place in ACORN's offices.
These are not the kinds of activities in which ACORN is engaged.
The four employees were naive and foolish, and created a bad image for ACORN. But they did not engage in any illegal acts, and they do not represent what ACORN does or stands for.
No, Brandon, I will not "retrack" my statement that these ACORN employees were victims. I won't even "retract" it.

So in your opinion did they NOT deserve to get fired?
They had to get fired. ACORN had to protect itself. But these employees were still the victims of a Conservative Con job.
What they should have done is responded the way the ACORN employee did who said she had murdered her ex-husband. That's the kind of dissing these two "actors" deserved. That lady was "responding in kind". That's what I would have done.
It also had the added bonus of making FOX News look like the idiots they were when they rushed to broadcast this woman's video "confession" without stopping to fact-check the fact that this lady's ex-husband is alive and well. This ACORN employee spotted these Conservative Cons for the Con artists they are and she treated them with the same contempt with which they were treating her. As a result, FOX News took the fall for this one. Bravo to this young ACORN lady.

These people were going out of their way to help a pimp and prostitute, yet you consider them as the victims? Lets not forget we are talking about several people now, not just one bad employee but several.
Several out of many thousands.
Most of the ACORN employees rejected the pimp and prostitute, and some even turned them in to the police.
And, these "several" employees were fired because they obviously did not reflect ACORN's policies or what ACORN does.

I agree any for profit business needs to obey all laws. I would love to see where our taxes went to on Wall Street. But there are laws on the books forbidding the use of public funds for one political group over another. How many republicans did they register? ACORN in the past has received 55 million dollars. They are on track to have 8 billion more. Do I have a right to demand to see financial records as a tax payer? If they are so squeaky clean could they not just come forward with the records. By the way the Left has a lot of fat cats on the payroll. Unions, News Media (not Fox),Trial Lawyers, there are more examples let me know if you need them.

I consider myself a conservative but I am sick and tired of the corruption on both sides. Why do Americans justify shaddy politician with shaddy politicians from the other side?
