Here's some common sense sent to me by my friend Andy, which I would like to share with the rest of you:
"Get your facts straight, my Conservative friends.
Small businesses are not the targets of tax increases. The tax increases, if there even are any, would be targeted at individuals who make a lot more than $250-500K a year. What are you trying to say by we "idiots" who want to tax the largest employers in the economy? Show me where and when we "idiots" or President Obama ever said he wanted to tax small businesses. In effect, the heath care bill would make providing health care for employers cheaper for small businesses and provide more freedom to expand their business.
Furthermore, outsourcing has to do with services such as IT troubleshooting that MNCs hire out to overseas employers because they will work for a lower wage. Its got nothing to do with US taxes on MNCs. They are simply following free market neo-liberal practices instigated and supported by the very same people you vote for. It's because of this practice that large businesses are able to "gobble up the small businesses." Do you even know what you mean by outsourcing?
You should stop clutching to ideology and employ some of the "common sense" you and your leaders speak so highly of."

Increases in min wage raises the cost of manufacturing.
Increases in taxes. examples: Capital gains, SS, medicare also raise the cost of manufacturing.
Lets not forget about gas taxes which effect every person and company.
It just makes sense to buy from China when its cheaper. The problem is now an American worker just got laid off and now is on unemployment, costing tax dollars instead of generating them.
Reaper and CJP, you guys must HATE Tim Eyman. I hope you two vote yes on I-1033.

I know I vote no on most new taxes, especially any school taxes.
I vote for a few new taxes. I think I voted for the socialist transit line from Tacoma to Seattle. (Please don't call me out BB, as there was some kind of rail put in I think, I can't remember the details) I will never use it but it keeps cars off the road.
I'm sure I vote for any socialist road program, 520 bridge repair etc.
I vote against any tax that goes to pay for cons kids. I just think it's un American to make someone pay for someone elses kids.

Right, I remember Eyeman now. He was out getting signatures and then onto ballot. Our property taxes went up like 25 percent because of increased value, but now it should go back down.
Eyeman was the one that got rid of yearly auto tag fees which I used to hate.
I dont hear many liberals saying nice things about Eyman!

I think it would sell a lot of fuel efficient cars.
I think it would create a lot of new mass transit.
I think instead of paying the bogey man terrorists overseas, we could spend it here and pay some bills.
I think that very soon oil would hit 10 dollars a barrel and we could keep gas at the same price and pay some more bills.
We don't need giant SUVs so soccer mom's can drive their progeny around and pretend they are safer. They can get by on compacts.

You forgot to mention how it would destroy the trucking industry and drive the cost of everything up and further hurt the poor. Why do you hate the poor? When was the last time you saw someone living in poverty buy a new hybrid?
