Fox News accuses Obama of delaying troop deployment to win Nobel Peace Price
http://mediamatters.org/items/200910130021
Fox News personalities have reacted to President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize by accusing Obama of -- in the words of Fox News contributor Dick Morris -- "delaying the decision to commit troops to Afghanistan" in order to "win this prize." Responding to initial reports that Obama was awarded the peace prize, Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade said he was "wondering" whether the Nobel charter "has anything to do with the delay of the deployment of 40,000 troops in Afghanistan," adding, "If you add forces to a war, you can't win."
Fox News personalities accuse Obama of withholding troops to secure Nobel Peace Prize
Morris: Obama "delaying the decision to commit troops to Afghanistan ... because he wanted this prize." During an appearance on the October 12 edition of Hannity, Morris stated, "I think the reason that Obama was delaying the decision to commit troops to Afghanistan is because he wanted this prize, and he probably knew he was nominated for it, he knew roughly when the decision is being made, and I don't think he's going to send troops until after that award is safely in his pocket." [Fox News' Hannity, 10/12/09]
Kilmeade: "I'm wondering, does [the Nobel Peace Prize charter] have anything to do with the delay of the deployment of 40,000 troops in Afghanistan?" Responding to initial reports that Obama had been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, Kilmeade stated, "I'm looking at the charter -- and we're just getting this now -- but this guy, Alfred Nobel, stipulated the peace prize should go to the person who will have done the most or the best work of the fraternity between the nations and the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation and spreading of peace congresses. I'm wondering, does that have anything to do with the delay of the deployment of 40,000 troops in Afghanistan, because that was his big postulization over the last week or so. 'Should I put more troops in?' " Kilmeade went on to say, "If you add forces to a war, you can't win." [Fox News' Fox & Friends, 10/9/09]
How dumb are FOX News listeners if they are always being played for fools by this constant barrage of phony FOX News malarkey?

Hey BB,

It's your beloveds anniversary..
Fox doesn't bring the news, it sows lies and hatred by their so-called reporters. The right extremists and the gullible right lap it up as if those reporters are reporting the news objectively.
Faux sucks Anon. We have to hit them where it hurts, in their pocket. We need to boycott all their advertisers. That's all they understand, money.
FOX sucks real bad, my friends. The more people who understand that the more people there are who can spread the word.
Also, it's important for FOX listeners to realize that they are a bunch of morons and retards to allow themselves to be brain-washed by all this incessant, perverted FOX propaganda.

It sounds like your talking about the liberal media! Are you sure you didnt mean MSNBC?

Good example of MSNBC doing nothing but bashing conservatives. Also twisting the truth in order to make members of tea parties look bad.
How are they any different from FOX and what does it say about all the liberals who watch MSNBC? Are they also brainwashed morons?
CJP-
Why are you so interested in what FOX is doing? Why dont you spend this much effort watching your worthless politicians? Maybe you could spend your time going thru the stimulus package, finding waste!
Members of the Tea Parties make themselves look bad. They don't need any help from MSNBC or anyone else.
Obama's Stimulus Package prevented the entire American economy from going belly-up. The Republicans bequeathed to this country a New Great Depression. Only Obama's swift action on the Stimulus Package avoided this Conservative Catastrophe. We dodged a speeding Right-Wing bullet of destruction.
"Obama's Stimulus Package prevented the entire American economy from going belly-up."
-CJP
That is a load of crap and you cant prove it! I agree the economy would be a little worse off than it is today but we wouldnt have another trillion in debt! Short term gain, long term pain! Think ahead and you'll get ahead!
"Republicans bequeathed to this country a New Great Depression."
-CJP
We also know that the housing market crash is what started this recession. The housing crash started because of people not paying their morgages, mostly sub prime loans.
Republicans tried to pass legislation to regulate sub prime loans and the democrats didnt like it because they thought it would hurt minorities. So point the finger at yourself!
So, CJP do you think their is much waste in the stimulus package? Do you really think funding medicare is going to stimulate the economy?
$86.6 billion for Medicaid
CJP way to win people over, calling them retards, and morons. No substance and all name calling does it give you a headache to debate key issues of the current events. Oh, wait I forgot you wouldn't get your paycheck for the anti-right hate speech. Just to let you know Rush L. makes 400 million per contract. That lets you know how many people he has in his audience.
Unfortunately, Rush is making his 400 million at the expense of his Dittoheads whom he is selling down the river by convincing them to support economic programs that are in Rush's best financial interests, but not theirs. If his listeners end up in the poor house, it's because they blindly followed Rush instead of supporting economic policies that would help them.
CJP, White and Right is correct in that Rush makes a lot of money telling people what they want to hear. And funny how White and Right (WaR, for short) shows up about the same time Rush is being denied a chance at ownership for an NFL team. I can't imagine why.
Alex Massie:
Watching Beck, who sometimes resembles a snake-oil salesman’s dim-witted assistant accidentally promoted to the top job, makes a foreigner wonder just what’s happening to American conservatism. I confess that I find it impossible to determine whether Beck’s show is serious or, as seems more probable, an elaborate practical joke played on his unwitting audience. I don’t want to seem forward or rude, but one can’t help but ask: Have you people lost your minds?
Increasingly, British Tories wonder what has happened to their American relatives. It’s as if your favorite cousin had a nervous breakdown, found religion, and became an evangelist for an apocalyptic cult prophesying the imminent end of the world as we know and love it.

Wow, great article. Bookmarking that site.
This is a serious accusation and needs to be examined before it is dismissed out of hand.
Conservatives lost all respect for the Nobel prize when Al Gore won it for a dumb movie and Spielberg didn't win it for Schindlers list or Amistad. But Liberals still think the Nobel prize is more than a group of socialist promoting and rewarding other socialist.
Your post accurately sites sources but doesn't offer any rebuttal beyond "nuh uh" so I have to give it a D-
"...it's because they blindly followed Rush instead of supporting economic policies that would help them."
-CJP
What economic policies would help the poor are you talking about? Giving money to the poor doesnt really help them in the long run. It only makes the dependant on the government and statistics show that people who are givin money they havent earned, causes them to earn a lower income.
Why do most liberals want everyone to be dependant on the government?
"...you know who my favorite political philosopher is? Adolf Hitler.' Have you read Mein Kampf? [She wants to] fight your fight like Hitler did,"
Beck said.

Is Becks favorite political philosopher Adolf Hitler? Sure seems that way to me. Has Beck denied that his favorite philosopher is Hitler? Why won't he deny it? I think Beck should denounce Hitler, here and now, or explain why he won't.

“The Ten Most Egregious Fox News Distortions (VIDEO)
Fox News has defended itself against administration criticism by saying the White House has confused its pundit shows with its news programs. But the network constantly, misleadingly disparages Obama and his administration in its supposedly straight reporting. Here are the ten of the worst examples; there are many more.”

Appearing on The Ed Show Wednesday night, outspoken Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson slammed both Fox News and the GOP, saying that "Fox News and their Republican collaborators are the enemy of America."
When it comes to health care, education, even peace, Grayson insisted that the GOP and Fox News are on the wrong side of the issues. They are the enemies of "anything good for this country," he said.
Grayson also seemed to agree with the White House's recent effort...

To take a line from the democrats, he sounds alot like the brown shirts! Paint your oposition as the enemy and try to destroy them rather than taking on their arguments. Wouldnt want anyone challenging the president, they must be racists!
