Excerpts from President Obama's Fund-Raising Speech in Washington, DC This Week:
“I don't mind cleaning up the mess that some other folks made. That's what I signed up to do. But while I'm there mopping the floor, I don't want somebody standing there saying, ‘You're not mopping fast enough.’ [Pause for laughter.] Or, ‘You're not holding the mop the right way.’ [More laughter.] Or, ‘It’s a socialist mop.’ [Merriment.]”
And then, with perfect timing, he exhorted: “Grab a mop!” [Sustained cheers.]
“Why don't you help clean up?” [Continued cheers.]

Clinton was great and changed me from con to dem. Obama will be as great or greater, but his times are harder, as the cons created a bigger mess for him, than for Clinton.
And I agree with the cons a little, in that Carter sucked, but it wasn't entirely his fault. He had the oil embargo. Plus he was a real Christian, so he was dealing with his God, and the Arabs God, and whenever those Gods fight, there will be problems.
It's hard to give W the same latitude, as his God was Mammon, and therefore a false God.
One of Obama's biggest problems is that he is facing a huge Right-Wing Media Noise Machine, bigger and more pervasive than ever before.
That's why I started this Blog -- to try to respond to the Right-Wing's daily lies and outrages.
I'm glad the White House is now taking on FOX News directly. That's what needs to be done.
What the Right-Wing Media started with Clinton they are trying to perfect under Obama. It's time for the Right-Wing Noise Machine to be taken down.
They hurt this country every day with their lies and distortions which mislead so many of their listeners.

I totally agree CJP. Isn't it mind boggling that Clinton was impeached over a blow job, and w skated scott free over a lie (Iraq) costing 2 trillion dollars and 200 thousand lives?

I am sure you are glad, why would you want people thinking about health care reform at a time like this?
I guess Obama hasnt learned any new tricks, blame the republicans for everything. Oh wait, didnt we have democrats in congress? Why is it that Obama keep blaming republicans for holding up health care reform when they have enough democrat votes to pass it? Again its the democrats, not just the republicans!
Herbert Hoover stayed in office for three more years after the 1929 Crash. He screwed things up so badly that he was blamed for the next 20 years for the Great Depression.
Dubya Bush was very lucky. His Crash occurred as he was nearly out of office. Obama came in shortly after the Bush Crash and started fixing things immediately. By the end of 2010, the Bush Crash will only be a memory. So, Bush's blame will last much less than the 20 years he deserves. Bush can thank Obama for saving his bacon and lifting his reputation off the bottom rung.

You cant even begin to compare our like recession to the great depression! NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! The market goes up and down every few years is Obama going to spend trillions of our tax dollars each time?
It is not the job of the White House to take on Fox News! The job of the White House is to run the country. Barach et al is doing a far worse job than anyone could have imagined. They woudl rather spat with Fox or AP or the Chamber of Commerce than do their jobs. Let think how muc worse we are in only 9 months of Obama: Let's see, more debt in a single year than any other president in the history of this country (over 1.4 trillion). More debt than eight years under clinton, and triple the debt of GW Bush. The national debt over 12 trillion dollars, accelerated by Obama. Unemplyment over 10% even after the largest stimulus ($787 billion) ever in this country. In one report, it was stated that we are spending in excess of $383 billion per year on our debt. Not to mention the closing of GITMO, and hey, let bring these criminals to the state of Illinois. O' did I mention huge corporation bail outs, such as GM. And let's not forget further involvement in Afghanistan and we are still not out of Iraq>
Wow, we are so fortunate to have Barach in the White House because he knows what he is doing, right? I guess if leadership is spating with Fox, or always pointing the figure to avoid blame. When is he going to stand up and provide the leadership and stop planning election year politics??
Maybe Obama could start by mopping up his $1.4 trillion dollar deficit this year? The largest debt in on year in the history of this country.
Obama is taking this country into the next major financial crisis and is going to how do we cover the debit of our country. Reckless Obama and reckless congress!
Is he evfen thinking about what he is doing??
GD John, RayGun and W ran up 6 trillion in debt. Oh and the other Bush, he was good for around 2 trillion more.
