The Poor Conservatives Are Upset That Hasan Has Not Been Labeled a "Terrorist"

The mindless stupidity of Conservatives is that they get hung up on whether or not Hasan is labeled a "terrorist", when in fact he has been labeled a "murderer" and has now been charged with 13 separate counts of premeditated murder, each one of which carries the death penalty.

That's why liberals consider Conservatives to be a bunch of bleating sheep who are so easily manipulated by their Right-Wing media puppeteers.

What practical difference does it make whether or not Hasan is labeled a "terrorist"? Why are Conservatives so angry and upset by whether or not that particular word is applied to him?

There are many other, more accurate words which have been applied to Hasan -- all of which carry the death penalty.

It's sickening to watch Conservatives react like Pavlovian dogs to the fact that he has not been labeled a "terrorist", when applying that word is totally irrelevant to the final result in this case.

The definition of a "terrorist", according to the Random House Dictionary, is: "The use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes."

That is what Al Quaida does, so effectively, -- "intimidate or coerce, for political purposes" --which is why it is rightly called a terrorist organization.

However, even though Hasan shot and killed 13 people, and wounded many more, under this definition, he was not a "terrorist" because he was not trying to intimidate people or change their behavior.

Aside from the semantics, I ask once again, what practical difference does it make whether Hasan is charged with 13 counts of first degree murder as a "terrorist" or as a "murderer"?

The only practical difference I can see is that, when his case comes to trial, it will be a lot easier to prove that Hasan is a murderer rather than a terrorist, making his conviction that much easier.

I don't think anyones upset. It's actually funny the way libs rationalize the situation. I think the libs are upset that Obama has had his first terrorist attack on American soil. Don't feel bad CJP. We don't blame him for this. We blame al queda.

hispanicontheright said...

"What is the issue here? The virgins are waiting for Hasan in Heaven now, regardless of whether he is called a "terrorist" by Conservatives, or a murderer by liberals."

I guess the issue is that for some reason liberals can't see that political correctness made people ignore the signs. These terrorists are patient and they have no problem infultrating us slowly. Liberals want to ignore this while others want this information out there. I just can't understand why liberals want to supress this type of information.

CJP said...

Oh, I get it. HOTR. I see your point. If you can establish that Hasan was a terrorist, then you can claim that "Obama has had his first terrorist attack on American soil".

Bravo! Brilliant. Well done. What a mind leap.

But, HOTR, what about that fellow who killed 23 people at a Luby's Cafeteria in Texas in 2007? Was that a terrorist attack? Are you saying that Bush allowed the USA to suffer a second terrorist attack -- in 2007 -- which everyone was unaware of, including the liberals?

And, what about John Muhammad (who was just put our of his misery this week), and his highway killing spree of 2002 which claimed the lives of ten innocent people? Was that yet a third terrorist attack on US soil under Bush?

(In fact, what Muhammad did in 2002 fits the classic definition of "terrorism" far more accurately than what Hasan did at Fort Hood last week, based on the information we have so far).

However, HOTR, on behalf of liberals everywhere, allow me to be the first to thank you for helping to identify two more acts of domestic terrorism on US soil for which we had thus far failed to give Bush his full share of credit.

CJP said...

I don't think the signs were ignored because of "political correctness".

Just read the Internet, HOTR. Look at all the insane, lunatic things that people are posting.

Does that mean they all need to be arrested because they are all potential murderers?

CJP said...

I don't think liberals want to "ignore the signs" or "suppress information".

On the contrary, this administration and its law enforcement agencies are now studying Hasan's case history very closely to see what kind of warning signs they may have missed and to try to prevent such a horror from ever happening again.

hispanicontheright said...

"However, HOTR, on behalf of liberals everywhere, allow me to be the first to thank you for helping to identify two more acts of domestic terrorism on US soil for which we had thus far failed to give Bush his full share of credit."

You're very welcome. I'm surprised that up until now you didn't think those were terrorists acts. Of course they were. The difference is that these people did not have contact with muslim extremists. At least I've never heard about it. Have you? If you did then please share.

"I don't think the signs were ignored because of "political correctness"."

Officials knew he had contact with al queda and extreme muslims. He said openly that he served muslim extremists before the constitution yet nothing was even investigated. Why do you think that?

CJP said...

Hasan had contact with an Imam who was a supporter and advocate for Al Quaida, but apparently is not himself a member of Al Quaida.

Nothing so far shows that he had any direct contact with Al Quaida. Aside from this Imam, who was Hasan's contact in Al Quaida?

CJP said...

As for contact with "extreme Muslims", Hasan was very much a Muslim extremist himself.

CJP avoiding the question again. Why did they ignore his ties to al queda? Simple question.

hispanicontheright said...

"Nothing so far shows that he had any direct contact with Al Quaida. Aside from this Imam, who was Hasan's contact in Al Quaida?"

??? He sent them money.

hispanicontheright said...

CJP, try this question. If we find someone else who has contact with al q, should we ignore them as well?

CJP said...

He sent "them" money?

We know he sent money. We don't know how much he sent, or to whom he sent it.

Unless you know something that no one else knows, HOTR.

CJP said...

Of course, we should not ignore it if we find that someone else has had contact with Al Quaida. We should act on it immediately.

But, as I asked you before, HOTR, aside from the Imam (who apparently was not a member of Al Quaida), who was Hasan's contact in Al Quaida?

hispanicontheright said...

"We know he sent money. We don't know how much he sent, or to whom he sent it."

Wow. Maybe the next terrorist should have a terrorist ID card. This is a classic case of NOT connecting the dots.

RayGun said...

Hey cons, maybe we should start another war over your new terrorist act?

RayGun said...

In 2004, Bagdikian's revised and expanded book, The New Media Monopoly, shows that only 5 huge corporations -- Time Warner, Disney, Murdoch's News Corporation, Bertelsmann of Germany, and Viacom (formerly CBS) -- now control most of the media industry in the U.S. General Electric's NBC is a close sixth.

GD, there used to be laws about media monopoly, apparently not anymore.

CJP said...

And that's what Conservatives call their "freedom of speech".

No wonder America has been dumbed down so badly.

hispanicontheright said...

I don't even know how to reply to this stupidity. RG it's amazing how you just want to see your comments so bad that you'll put any stupid crap up. Shit that only you can understand.

RayGun said...

And now it seems obvious why the invasion of Iraq was not questioned more by the press.

dam RG your obsession with Fox is amazing. Is there a reason that you read books about OReilly and watch Fox so much. Is that the only channel you have. It is so funny the way you abuse yourself that way. lol.

Is this meant to be a joke. The press killed Bush on this and continue to do so. Don't be mad that other news has taken place and the press just can't focus on this as much any more. Stop watching fox and go google bush and iraq. You'll have all the questions revealed to you. I know, you just can't get off the Fox channel. You're probably watching it now. lol

Another cut and paste line from RG. Great job RG. I guess it's easier than actually thinking a little.

hispanicontheright said...

Lets add that great line.

I can't believe you cons voted for the worst president in the history of the nation, twice, and now want to double down with someone even stupider. Do you all have a national death wish? You almost finished off the US with w, but that wasn't good enough and now you want Palin?

The reason it is important to determine whether Hasan was a terrorist or just a troubled individual is how we respond to this and what we do to prevent it from happening again if we can. If hasan is just another criminal or troubled individual, then that is a matter for law enforcement, mental health professionals and the army medical/mental health staffr to examine responses. If he is truly a terrorist, then that is a whole other set of actions to try and respond. Why are liberals so afraid of calling it "like it is" if he is a terrorist. Could it be the anti-american bent of current liberalism that includes anti-christian pro every other religion bias liberals have? We are so terrified of offending muslims by calling him a terrorist, but if he is, I don't think it has anythign to do with his religion it has to do with the fact he was a militant radical. Conservatives are not angry and upset about this, just frustrated that liberals are so screwed up and are screwing up what once was a great country and soon to be a third world communist county if we remain on this path for long.

RayGun said...

Conservativeandproudofit, I think the good side (the progressives) is only a little concerned with cons labeling Hasan as a terrorist, then saying see, the Democrats are weak on terrorism. Or although w was a bumbling idiot, at least he kept us safe.

Are you trying the same tactic of scaring the soccer moms and dads so as to vote another incompetent into the white house? Haven't you cons done enough damage by voting for w twice, to last a life time? Five trillion in new debt, a near financial collapse, 2 wars, 200 thousand dead, what is enough for you guys?

It's not my fault, it's not my fault. The swan song of the right.

By the way, I am an equal opportunity anti religious nut.

hispanicontheright said...

Yes, RacistGun, lets all thank Obama for that!! Thanks Obama!!

Conservativeandproudofit, you have a very strange name.

I can understand your being Conservative. But -- being "proud of it"? That completely baffles me. How could you possibly be "proud of it"? We refer to "it" as the "C Word".

Nevertheless, the statement you made above, which I have quoted, is one of the most intelligent things I have ever heard from a Conservative. I congratulate you. I didn't think a Conservative was capable of such accurate thought processes. My hat is off to you.

You actually went so far as to say that "it is important to determine whether Hasan was a terrorist or just a troubled individual". I'm totally stunned. How could a Conservative have come up with such an intelligent insight?

Unfortunately -- then you go on to spoil the whole thing. (You're a Conservative, so I know you can't help yourself). You go on to say: "Why are liberals so afraid of calling it "like it is", if he is a terrorist"?

So, in your first breath, you say that it has not yet been determined whether Hasan "was a terrorist or just a troubled individual" -- and in your second breath you say that liberals are "so afraid" of calling him a terrorist. Do those two statements make any sense to you?

What I'd like to know is why Conservatives can't take two breaths without losing all of their common sense?

CJP

I don't know CJRacist, I like the name. Liberals try and mask the fact that they're liberal. Obama on the campaign trail is the perfect example.

CJP said...

RacistGun???

When did RayGun turn "Racist"? Who knew? Nobody ever tells me Nothin'.

Is that because he likes Gold so much?

Does this mean that RacistGun favors Yellows over Whites and Blacks?

RacistGun, I'm so ashamed of you. How could you possibly do this to us?

Maybe you should be with Obama on his current trip to the Orient. Shaking hands with, and bowing to, all those Yellows, etc.

If you do go there, RG -- please bring back a little gold for the rest of us.

And, if you find some nuggets that pay dividends of 4% a year --- that would be OK, too.

CJP

LOL, the 4 percent nugget dividend would make BB happy, I think.

It's probably going to be investigated by the military authorities under whose auspices it happened.

The military will decide, based on all the facts they can ascertain, whether it qualifies as a terrorist act or as the act of one deranged loner. We don't know enough to make that determination yet. Let's give the authorities time to do their full investigation.
