Not true. The bill requires people to obtain insurance or, with some hardship exceptions, pay a fine. No one is being jailed for being uninsured. People who intentionally evade paying the fine could, in theory, be prosecuted -- just like others who cheat on their taxes.

When the first person gets put in jail over this, you might have a point. Until that ever happens, HOTR, you're talking fiction and scare tactics.

The major penalty in that bill is fines. The fines are there to make sure that everyone gets health coverage, to relieve the current strain on our health care system caused by treating so many uninsured persons.

Prediction:
CJP will start to rationalize putting people in jail because information is starting to be revealed that this will happen under the DEMOCRAT health care bill. Once CJP gets the dem talking points he will stop thinking on his own and jump right in line.

Am I the only one that listened to Polosi say on TV that yes, there would be a possible jail term for people that did not have healthcare. I watched her lips move as she was saying it! Great job. Love the bill, but then again, it was never posted for all to read as we were promised by Obama when running for President! Another broken promise!

Simple fact: He was a strong proponent of eugenics, even signing a forced sterization act. He was a racist, and he put more people in prison for speaking out against the government and it's policies than we had ever before seen in this country. Just to name a few...
