Uganda Is Passing A Law to Execute Its Gay Citizens

Here's an interesting Internet item that was posted on Media Matters:

"Boy, it sure would be nice if any of the mainstream media was reporting more on the Ugandan bill that will call for the jailing and execution of gay citizens, which has the support of a Ugandan minister who is good buddies with pastor Rick Warren (who has yet to denounce this proposed law). But the U.S. media is mostly quiet when it comes to this topic, I wonder why?"

Rachel Maddow is reporting extensively about this matter on NBC.

The Uganda leaders who are enacting this law have long been supported by Rick Warren and other Conservative Christian religious leaders in the USA. Chances are this insanity could be stopped if America's religious leaders were to put some pressure on the Uganda government.

Somehow, our religious leaders don't feel any sense of outrage that impels them to speak out against this insane law.

Is this not reminiscent of the Vatican's deafening silence throughout the entire Holocaust?

Terrible. 84% of the population is Christian. Here's Wikipedia's info on Uganda for the people who are interested in countries other than the USA. ;)
