The GOP "Haves" and "Have-Mores" Against Health Care Reform

The GOP is the Party of the "Haves" and the "Have-Mores". Republicans are waging mortal combat against the "Have-Nots", the "Have-Lesses", and the "Have-Nothings".

40 million Americans who do not have health insurance today would be covered under the proposed new Democratic health care reform legislation. Naturally, Republicans can't tolerate that.

When First Lady Michelle Obama went to a soup kitchen several months ago to help feed the hungry and the homeless, the only thing that Right-Wing looney-tunes expressed was their total outrage that one homeless individual actually had a cell phone. That was the only thing the GOP had to say about this event -- indignation that a homeless person should own a cell phone.

How then can Republicans be anything bought overjoyed that 40 million Americans have no health care coverage? That must be a source of great satisfaction for the Grand Old Party. No wonder GOP Senators have cast not a single vote in favor of health care reform.

Perhaps if a bill were proposed that would deprive an additional 40 million Americans of health care coverage, Republicans would support that bill unanimously.

The Republican Party continues to prove that it is the party of the super-rich and an avowed Enemy of the People.

"Enemy of the people"?? Okay comrade! Workers of the world unite!

Give me a break! Yep. The republicans just LOVE to see people suffer! Personally, I like to bring along some popcorn and a camera. We like to watch suffering ALMOST as much as we enjoy kicking puppies and setting homeless men on fire! Have you lost your mind, CJP?
What a rediculus premise for this post. Naturally if we don't want to undertake a program that will cost TRILLIONS and not cover everyone and cause taxes to be increased at a time when we can hardly afford to do those things---well naturally that means that we just want to watch people suffer!

It's downright UNPATRIOTIC to deny Health Care to everyone by letting 40 thousand people die needlessly every year due to lack of medical care.

The fallen soldiers during the 8 year Iraq war number less than 40 thousand to date.

Figure it out CONS. Multiply 40K dead people with every passing year you do not pass health insurance for everyone.

To make it easier on you, 10 years = 400 THOUSAND people!!

YOU, in addition to a warmongering tribe, declared war on your own people who through no fault of their own don't have health insurance.

YOU have that on your conscience.

Repugnicans/Cons don't have the interest of people in mind. They couldn't care less.....

Regardless of what you cons say, YOU DON'T CARE. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE... the word starts with M........

We have something in this country called the Constitution. You may have heard of it? Well, anyway, I know that you don't understand it, but there is nowhere in that document that states that the government must provide healthcare.

"YOU, in addition to a warmongering tribe, declared war on your own people who through no fault of their own don't have health insurance. "---Anon2

Another rediculous statement from Anon2. Have to admit---you never let me down!
40 thousand people a year die for lack of healthcare? Numbers like that, it would seem that I would have known at least one over the years.

Gee..can't think of a single one. Where are you getting your figures?
Well, can't be bothered with you right now, there are some orphans outside that I have to go poke with a stick.
You are a very hateful woman.

Anon2 said...

Oh, now you blame the Constitution that 40 THOUSAND people die every year due to lack of health care instead of people like yourself taking the responsibility?

GREAT thinking Caseyboy.

HUGE NEWS FLASH. CJP, PLEASE POST THIS. WE ALL NEW IT, BUT NOW IT IS FACT:

Liberalism, atheism, male sexual exclusivity linked to IQ

Evolutionary psychologist Satoshi Kanazawa at the the London School of Economics and Political Science correlated data on these behaviors with IQ from a large national U.S. sample and found that, on average, people who identified as liberal and atheist had higher IQs.

The IQ differences, while statistically significant, are stunning -- on the order of 6 to 11 points --

Cons are statistically dumb, now its a fact, below average intelligence

This should really be no surprise to anyone.

We can't afford another couple of Trillion dollars of debt right now. We are up to our butts in debt.
Each of our States have healthcare programs for people that cannot afford health insurance. The people that need it get medical attention. But you didn't know that, did you?

It brings out the worst in everyone.

How many innocents have been killed by these people bearing arms throughout the centuries due to hate, mental illness, accidents etc.?

You cons LOVE arms and defend that right to the death regardless of how many die because of these arms bearing people.

As I said previously, you cons deserve the "M" word.

You're right, cons know only one language that's printed on paper: "In God We Trust". = God and $$$

Sorry A2, this country is violent. And I don't want to have to weight lift, practice with a knife all day, to know I can defend myself against any punk. Or home invasion.

Anymore, even if someone breaks into your home, and is exiting out a window, and the home owner shoots him, that's considered justified. Crime has really gone down here A2.

Funny though, Seattle city limits, it's really increasing again, after the mayor banned guns from many places. Not saying its entirely related, but...

Anyway, I do not fear going anywhere. Plus I have shot a pit bull in a park, one of two, that was chasing me on my bike. Not sure what would of happened if I didn't have my concealed pistol. Cops told me good job in not so many words.

Google for it. I got it from Bill Maher. He's not known to be a liar.

Some of my favorite sayings:

Casey, nowhere does the Constitution say that the government must provide Social Security. But we have it today.

Is Social Security unconstitutional?

My guess is that most Conservatives would say "Yes, Social Security is unconstitutional."

After all, Social Security helps millions of elderly people and that, by itself, is enough to cause most Conservatives to find it unconstitutional.

Case, success, truth, worth, does not revolve around who makes the most money. Look at the National Enquirer and Faux News. Look at porn. Don't be ashamed, I am not judging, I am saying whatever you do is fine Case. Funny how many porn stars get religion and quite the industry (although I am not an expert on the subject, as I never look at porn).

Being patriotic has to do with the CITIZENS of that country, not just the soil.

That's why caring for and about citizens of said country would encompass health care.

No, without citizens there doesn't exist a country.
Then why doesn't the definition include citizens? That is simply not true. Patriotism has to do with the love of one's country. The country is the soil. The land. What the country stands for. You can love your country, but not like the people much.
The Nazi's were very patriotic, however there were vast numbers of the citizenry that they did not like. I would not have called them humanitarians, but they were extremely patriotic.
I think that you are confused. If you follow your logic, it would be unpatriotic to do many things.
I am patriotic as I put the good of my country before my own selfish needs. I would like to see this country continue to exist and not be bankrupt by huge crushing national debt that cannot be sustained. I am humanitarian as I don't want people to starve or suffer. I pay taxes to help fund programs that help to reduce that need. I give to charity as well. I don't call that patriotic. I call that humanitarian, as I also give to other countries in need.

Excerpt:

"First, the tax cuts that George Bush pushed through Congress overwhelmingly benefited the richest people in America--virtually all analysts agree with that fact. But many Americans haven't really calculated that the cost of those tax cuts for the rich was literally double what health-care reform is projected to cost. Double. Yet, there was not even a mention from Republicans, then or now, about the fiscal cost of such enormous tax cuts for the wealthiest people in America. And now they are doing everything they can to stoke public outrage about the cost of health-care reform (even though the Congressional Budget Office says the President's proposal will likely reduce the deficit by $100 billion over the next decade). How does that square with the biblical emphasis on the priority of the poor? There is simply no way to justify the habitual behavior of the current Republican party's clear preference for the rich over everybody else."

It's worth reading the entire article, especially the (_$_). :)

Stimulus and trickle down are based on the same principles. Give companies tax dollars or let them keep their own tax dollars and let it trickle down to their employees!

That is natures way. Most miscarriages within the first 3 months (and that is where most of that 30% comes from--first 3 months)are malformed or defective in some way. Nature takes care of the imperfection on it's own. "God" has nothing to do with it.

But BB, doesn't greed kick in? The benevolent money grubbers like giving their employees their money?

Why not let it trickle up BB? Give the employees money, through reduced taxes, so they can buy more? Trickle up.

RayGun said...

Where are your links, studies, etc, proving what you are talking about, even exists. You're very general Case.

Casey said...

There doesn't need to be any links. You have the top 10 cities that are the most poverty stricken. My question is this: If YOUR side is the side of "good" and "right" why isn't it working? Why is there not more prosperty and sucess?

Casey said...

There is no such thing as "trickle up". When and where has that ever worked?
The answer is to lower the tax rate for the corporations and keep the jobs here in America.
The unions cannot continue to demand outrageous wages and benefits, so that companies can compete. Sounds harsh, but we have to be able to compete or we loose completely.
Listen to John Stossel once in a while about what excessive regulations have done to the ability to compete.

gold.
--
BB, I'll repeat it once again, my purchase of gold is not really an investment per say, I look at it more like purchasing insurance. That is, if the con money mongers manage to make the pretty green paper worthless, then gold will rule once again.

BB, why are China and India buying gold in hundreds of tons increments?

Casey said...

"That is, if the con money mongers manage to make the pretty green paper worthless"---RG

You make these statements, that make no sense. How are the con "money mongers" making the money worthless? YOUR side is printing more worthless paper. YOUR side is doing the huge spending (and don't say that Bush did it, because Obama has already spent more than Bush did in 8 years) So why is this a con problem?
And trickle up? What are people supposed to buy with the big 8-16 dollars per paycheck? That won't buy many TV's or cars!

RayGun said...

You knot headed cons, still don't get it. W's tax cut to the rich freed up so much money, there was little useful places to put it. So what did the masters of the universe do with all that money? They created financial instruments of mass destruction. Derivatives.

Casey said...

No, RG. that isn't how it happened. You don't get dirivitives out of thin air.

"Freddie and Fannie can carry out this operation by issuing three types of highly risky obligations: 1. corporate bonds that Freddie and Fannie issue; 2. Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS), in which Freddie and Fannie pool a group of mortgages together, put a guaranty on it (for which they earn a fee), and then they package these MBS to insurance companies, pension funds, international investors; etc; and 3. outright derivatives, which Fannie and Freddie have.

You have to have something to gamble on, RG. The easy money mtgs are what fed the market. Govt intervention, helped feed the subprime mortgage demand.

RayGun said...

"Obama has already spent more than Bush did in 8 years"

Case sweetums, didn't w generate around 5 trillion in new debt? Isn't that way more than Obama? Wasn't Obamas first budget, actually w's last budget.

Casey said...

Since World War II, federal spending has generally remained between 18 and 22 percent of GDP. During the Bush Administration, spending increased from 18 to 21 percent of GDP. **This year, President Obama will spend a peacetime-record 26 percent of GDP.
Let's see. From 2010 to 2019, Obama projects annual deficits totaling $7.1 trillion; that's atop the $1.8 trillion deficit for 2009.
So, no. That isn't the case.
But it doesn't matter. Who cares what started it? What matters is that we get a grip on it before it's too late. To point fingers and say, "Bush did the same thing" is childish and counter productive. I thought you voted for "change" not the same old crap, different president.

RayGun said...

"$1.8 trillion deficit for 2009."

w owns that one. So counting that one plus other w deficits, that's close to 7 trillion. And you said Obama has already borrowed more than that? Case, me thinks you needs some of them dem smartnin pills.

Casey said...

Try this:
Obama's National Debt Impact

Upon Inauguration: $10,626,877,048,913
As of Feb 25, 2010: $12,433,661,592,275
Increased by: $1,806,784,543,362

What part of this are you not getting? On the campaign, he promised to cut the budget and spending.
This is silly. Google this. There is no one that argues this spending trend, and since we have no money, the spending goes to the accumulation of debt.

RayGun said...

"thought you voted for "change" not the same old crap, different president."

But we have the same stupid cons (proven by a massive new study) saying no to everything. And a few dumb dems (cons in dem clothing) aiding and abetting the destruction of America.

RayGun said...

Case that first budget was passed by w. So go subtract w first budget, as it was given to him by Clinton. OOPs,that will really make you sound, not so smart :-)

Casey said...

RG, you are making me crazy! I have to stop before my head explodes....

RayGun said...

So, Clinton gave w around a 300 billion dollar surplus, then give him Obamas first deficit (since its actually w's) and w's new total is around 7.5 trillion of new debt. And did I ever hear even the slightest whimper from the con barnyard? All I remember hearing was that dems were unpatriotic for not loving the con wars.

RayGun said...

Hmmm, come to think of it, the cons won't let Obama raise taxes on the wealthy, so they should get credit for any and all new debt. Obama can take the hit for health care if it ever passes. 100 billion per year.

See Case, when you smart this stuff is very clear.

RayGun said...

So looking at the budget, w came in with a surplus of 300 billion, and left with a yearly deficit of 1.8 trillion. It was a stead progression. You cons claim to be the financial geniuses, but maybe now you see why everyone thinks you all are kind of dumb (a fact now backed by a major study).

Maybe you need some smart pills, Raygun. The $1.8 trillion dollar deficit came from the TARP fund, correct? Now it is being paid back and Obama is getting credited with it, correct? So if you cancel out the TARP fund you would see Bush had a smaller deficit in 2009 while Obama will only have higher deficits from 2010 and on!

RayGun said...

Ok BB, you semi retard :-), oops that will get the con leaders smelly panties in a twit, but here goes.

Trickle down (tax cuts to the rich) versus trickle up (tax cuts to the poor). Either way we are borrowing fking money to pay for it. So, if we borrowed money, then took said borrowed money and started dropping from Gd helicopters, the people would grab it (rich and poor), spend it, and therefore stimulate the economy. So why not help 99 percent of the people (with tax cuts), rather than 1 percent of the people? JFC.

Brandon said...

"Trickle down (tax cuts to the rich) versus trickle up (tax cuts to the poor)."
-Raygun

I guess your confused again because they havent been alot of tax cuts on the poor. Only social entitlement and tax cuts for the wealthy. I believe the stimulus included tax cuts for small buisness owners, thus tax cuts for the wealthy. So whats the difference between stimulus vs. trickle down. Obama is just cutting taxes on the wealthy, again!

RayGun said...

Tax cuts for the wealthy? That was w. Define wealthy. I define wealthy as anyone making over 250k per year. Bush cut said defined wealthy taxes, especially their investment taxes dramatically. What fking jobs did they create? Paper creating jobs?

I get it, Raygun, you dont like the Bush tax cuts, but why do you support Obamas stimulus? He cut taxes on small buisness owners. Most of the people who make over 250K/yr are small buisness owners. Why dont you get this?

You are so out of touch with reality. Americas wealthy dont invest in the same crap you do. They invest in mutual funds and realestate. Its safe and has a nice rate of return.

I dont know what fantasy land you live in but realestate is still a great investment! Most of the foreclosures happend in a few places: Las Vegas, Michigan, California, Florida and New York.

We all pay that BB. Any worker does, doesn't he? As a corporation, me, not an LLC, I pay myself a wage. And said wages require personal withholding.

I can get buy without a tax cut. All I know is when I start seeing a lot of money, as I do now, I get lazy. I start spending, and not caring, what things are really worth, nor their real cost.
