How about letting companies keep the money they earn and use it to pay employees. It's funny how we take huge amounts of money from companies, call it a tax and then wonder why they are not hiring. Sounds simple. Let them have more of their money and use it to hire people. But somehow we are confused about the high unemployment.

It is estimated that in 2014 the federal budget will be 4.1 trillion dollars and he will be adding around one trillion dollars in NEW taxes by 2013. China makes cheap (bad) stuff and the USA gobbles it all up regardless if safety standards have been met. Absurd low wages, pollution controls are the norm.
If the USA wouldn't buy from China, their economy wouldn't be quite the same. The USA is a consumer oriented society.
Thing is that big business in the USA export their raw materials to China and then imports the finished products cheaper while still making a HUGE profit.

But BB says we must compete with Chinamen making 1.50 per hour, so we must do what they are doing, what the US did in the past and move back in time. Why do you think giving companies the freedom to pay some employees less would result in everyone earning less? Why dont you want people to get paid for what they know and do, instead of what the government mandates?

Raise taxes on the wealthy, so they have less money to reinvest in their companies

How about create alot of new jobs, for example for college and high school students. Thus helping to lower unemployment and increase the skills of our work force.
There are alot of jobs out there that higher paid individuals dont want to do!

They need to be studying, not working 4 dollar an hour jobs. I never had to work during 4 years of college (5.5 years of college credits), and I graduated with a 3.89 average. The professors frequently bemoaned the fact that no one had time to do the college work as they had to work jobs.

Thats nice, I also worked thru college at 40hrs/wk, I also had a job thru high school. I only got around a 3.00GPA but I was never a great student.

BB, most of my class couldn't hang with computer science. Most dropped out. It is hard and I think even harder back then... I was able to stick with it. I would of never considered that field without Clinton's programs pushing me, and of course the Internet. I graduated in 98 so the government knew what they were doing, uhhhh prescient in their direction?
Hmmm, now I am thinking about Gore. He invented the Internet and he can take it away. And he keeps talking about that crazy climate change crap. Glad I wont be around feeling the full brunt of that.
