Since their inception the Teaparty crowd (not a movement since they do have the numbers or clout) have been “haters not debaters”. In my opinion this is what the small portions of the republican party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” have brought you. They are good at “Follow the Leader” of their dullard leaders, they listen to Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush and Savage and the rest of the Blowhards. Are you surprise at what they do when you know what they think? The world is complicated and most republicans (Hamiliton, Lincoln, Roosevelt) believe that we should use government a little to increase social mobility, now its about dancing around the claim of government is the problem. The sainted Reagan passed the biggest tax increase in American history and as a result federal employment increased, but facts are lost when mired in mysticism and superstition. Although some republicans are trying to distant themselves from this fringe most of them are just going along and fanning the flames. Lets face it the Republicans had 8 years to deal with health care, immigration and financial oversight and governance and they failed. They could not even win one of the two wars they started, the body bags are still coming in. The Republicans wanted to give Obama his Waterloo defeat over healthcare but instead they gave themselves their own Waterloo defeat by not participating in the debate of ideas and by becoming the party of obstructionist. But they now claim they have changed, come on, what sucker is going to believe that?

Wow. You guys are REALLY running scared by this movement, aren't you? Otherwise, you wouldn't be giving it so much attention. I think it's funny. You go from trying to discredit it, to minimizing it, then back again. The constant attention that you give it, speaks volumes about how you REALLY feel.
Casey: I created the words above but as usual other like what they see and post my words all over the web. Its funny but you would never guess who places my word all over the web the most "www.liberalwhoppers.com". Blame them if you see my words out there.
Oh I am not scared,I think in November, you will find out I am right. One last I think the sound bites from Victoria Jacksons & Sarah Palin do more to discredit and minimize your points of view, than I will ever do.
Montana:
I agree with you about Palin. I wish that she would shut up, but at the same time I don't believe that she will run for anything in the future.
I think that it is a good thing that people are getting involved and if they don't like how things are being run, then they should express that. To make them out to be fools or to marginalize them is silly and I think that you know, it is a big mistake. I think that you all know that this voice is growing and it scares you.
You are using a tactic of marginalization and of ridicule and the reason for that is that you are running scared. This is a tactic, and it is obvious. I am just calling it as I see it.
Yeah, Casey, we're all very worried about the Tea Party movement.
Have you seen this from The Daily Beast (via The Wall Street Journal) -- March 30, 2010:
"Tea Partiers Going Broke
Can you throw a tea party on a dime? Despite the favorable, anti-incumbent winds at their backs, tea-party candidates are struggling to make money; Republican primary challengers have raised 37 percent less than their Democratic counterparts, even though there are twice as many as them. "The problem with the Tea-Party movement is it has inspired too many candidates," says one failed tea-party candidate. “The movement will fail if it can't coalesce behind candidates who can win.”
Asked about Tea Party candidates, who threaten to deplete GOP coffers and push the Republicans' general-election candidates to the right, DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen said, “this is great news for us.”
The only thing that worries us about the Tea Partiers is the kind of insane wackos they incite and the kind of mayhem these creatures can inflict on innocent bystanders.
Take the "Hutaree Militia", for example.
The CBO says that our National Debt will grow to 90% of GDP within 10 years...This is what people are alarmed about. While you guys sit and mock the TeaParty people, the debt grows and we head for serious ecomnomic troubles in the future. Are you just not paying attention? Or do you think the finance fairy will come and make it all better without our even trying. Wait. You want a VAT tax---it's so damned European!
That malitia was NOT part of the TeaParty movement. They had nothing whatsoever to do with each other, and you can stop trying to make it seem as though they did.
The TeaParty is not a new political party. It is not meant to be. I am not one of them, but my understanding is that the point is to make voices heard. Republicans need to listen as well.
"The CBO says that our National Debt will grow to 90% of GDP within 10 years...This is what people are alarmed about. "
Then lets cut the GD military. But the war mongering cons will have nothing of that.
"You guys are REALLY running scared by this movement, aren't you? "
I am alarmed that w's inadequacies were so obvious to so many and he was still elected, twice. Now the teabag lickers want the same things w gave them, but more of it. Palin is w times 4. Shes 4 times dumber than w, 4 times as religious, and 4 times more dangerous. And shes the con teabag sucking heir apparent. So yes, I am a little alarmed.
NO RG. She isn't going to run for anything. I will bet you that. It will all come together under the Republican Party. The TeaParty people are just trying to change the Party.
What I find interesting is that now Obama wants to drill oil off the coast, when he promised not to during the campaign. What? Another flip-flop on his promises? That's is what McCain talked about during his campaign and Obama ragged on him about it! Don't get me wrong...I'm all for it, but seriously, he was elected under false pretences. ie: transparency, no drilling, not raising taxes on the middle class (new gas tax and VAT, capital gains, and more, would affect the middle class the most)
