I suspect that nothing positive will be accomplished in DC for at least the next two years thanks to the rocket scientists in this country who voted for the ones who all but destroyed this country , who nearly put us into another great depression , who put us so far in debt that there is no light at the end of the tunnel , who since have only sabotaged and undermined any recovery doing their utmost to make sure this country remains in bad shape knowing that the dim witted and ignorant voters would blame Obama and the Dems for it and vote Republican all over again . It worked , why screw up a good thing ? The Republicans will continue to do the same and I'm sure their tactics will work again due to the terminal ignorance and stupidity of the American people . The Republican supporters are now celebrating and gloating not realizing that they have just fired another torpedo into their own ship , and this might be the one that sinks it . Congratulations !

Well I am not so dim witted not to know that from Clintons 3rd year to last term he had a Republican majority in Congress and in the Senate. If he was sucessful with budgets and spending, he had help.
During Bushs' last term, the majority was Democrats in both houses, so....we saw how that ended! (but yes, he spent too much)
I don't think that these guys that you post actually UNDERSTAND how this all works.
Bush racked up too much debt, but lets not forget that the people in charge of oversight for Freddie and Fannie were Liberal Dems. (Frank and Dodd to name 2)
so, I think that I might re-think that "ignorant" thing. Maybe he needs to take a Civics course and get back to us.
